Brothers Social Touch had some electrifying games, as teams battled it out in the Brothers Social Touch (BST) Winter Season Mixed A3 Grand Final.

Ky Woods cut loose with five tries as Marshalls outgunned Bad Company 7-4 in the Brothers Social Touch (BST) Winter Season Mixed A3 Grand Final.

Ky is a multiple former Australian Surf Life Saving beach sprint and flags champion who missed most of last year’s competitions due to injury.

Bad Company, who also lost the Mixed A decider to Bundy Outdoors in November, matched Marshalls for long periods of time with Seb Woodland scoring twice, but Woods’ brilliance was the difference between the two sides.

Meanwhile, Puusaari Electrical, who had a rebrand this season from Bundy Outdoors, completed seven straight Mixed A1 titles with Matt Hardman leading the charge with a hat-trick of tries in a 5-1 blitz of Hitz FM.

BST celebrated their 30th anniversary dinner during the same week and fittingly two of the foundation teams battled it out in the Over 35a finale, with Ace edging out LLE 2-1 in a epic end-to-end duel with Dion Fatiaki and Jason Reepsdorf each touching down.

Another of the original teams, Balanced 4670, also added to their long list of premierships, downing Smooth ‘n’ Sneaky, who lost their second straight Final, 3-1 in Mixed A2, with Hayden Androeli a match winner for Balanced 4670, also with a two-try haul.

It was also double-disappointment for Untouchables, who went down to Team Spex 4-2 in Mixed B2, sunk by a Zack Hansen double, after drawing last season’s play-off with The Come Back, who were awarded the crown as the first scorer.

In other divisions, Vikings accounted for reigning Over 35b premiers The Other Guy 2-0 in the Open shoot-out, Barely There got home against Mind Cache 2-1 in Mixed B1, and last season’s Over 35a runners-up Matrix Steel were awarded the Over 35b gong as the first scorers in extra-time after battling out a 2-all draw with Mudzilla.
