This positivity post day we’re sharing some community feedback about one of Bundaberg Regional Council’s most popular events – the annual Childers Festival.
It’s got a long history in the region and a lot of fans and the 2025 festival did not disappoint.
Across the BRC Now, Childers Festival and Bundaberg Regional Council Facebook pages, we were feeling the love!
These posters loved the big market day held each year on the last Sunday in July:
“One of the best festivals. Hope it stays for many years to come in Childers. So much heritage and beauty people and gorgeous town.”
“Thankyou Childers our First time here to celebrate with my Son and some friends twas such a fun and beautiful experience we had…. seeyah again next year..all the best”
“Had an awesome day. Found the old Movie Theatre stalls at the back, tuckered away lots old memories found in the sale items.”
“Good crowd again” and “I think the Samba girls and live music make the festival” were also among the comments.
For others, Opera by the Lake stole the show:
“Opera by the Lake – always a great afternoon and part of the Childers Festival.”

On Sunday our big headline act this year was music icon DIESEL.
His many fans were not disappointed calling it’s a “Fantastic show!” and “Great Day Out” while sharing snaps of the packed stage area.
“Diesel Music was fantastic, great gig,” one commenter said and another added “Brilliant performance from Diesel.”
