Council advises that under Subordinate Local Law No. 4 (Local Government Controlled Areas, Facilities and Roads) 2011, the Chief Executive Officer has determined the operating hours for Hinkler Lions Tourist Park.
From 27 January 2026, public access to the park will be limited to:
- 5.30 am to 6.30 pm daily
- Access outside these hours, including overnight stays, is not be permitted.
The park, located on University Drive, Branyan, was previously used as a maximum 24-hour stay location for self-contained campers with an amenities block, water and dump point on site.
The new hours for the Hinkler Lions Tourist Park are in line with daylight hours and the current management of the reserve.
To support enforcement of the opening hours, a gate will be installed over the driveway access.
Amenities and the dump point will remain available for public use during the park’s operating hours.
