Bundaberg Library will be closed to the public on Saturday 28 February as the awning is removed from the building entrance.

Weather permitting, the removal works will continue on Sunday 1 March with the library opening as normal on Monday 2 March at 9.30 am.

Following a full investigation into the damage caused by a truck hitting the awning at the end of last year, Bundaberg Regional Council will undertake works to permanently remove the awning after which the front entrance will operate as usual.

During the works, access to the returns chute will not be available and any on loan items due for return on 28 February will be automatically extended for return by 7 March.

All digital library services will be available as usual.

Council understands this closure may cause inconvenience and thanks the community in advance for its patience and understanding.
