Rogue Traders will bring their iconic electro dance hits to this year’s Childers Festival as they headline the main stage.

Australia’s iconic electro dance rock act Rogue Traders will headline this year’s Childers Festival, bringing one of the country’s most recognisable live shows to the region’s most popular annual event.

From the chart dominating, ARIA and UK smashing hit Voodoo Child to era defining anthems such as Watching You, Way to Go! and the APRA Award winning In Love Again, Rogue Traders’ performance promises a full throttle celebration of the anthems and the era that made them unforgettable.

Mayor Helen Blackburn said the announcement that Rogue Traders was this year’s Childers Festival market day headline act was sure to start building excitement for this year’s event.

“The Childers Festival market is an iconic event that closes the Bruce Highway and is always a great day,” Mayor Blackburn said.

“To be adding an iconic Australian headline act of the calibre of the Rogue Traders is the perfect fit for our region’s most popular event.

“This event will be a stop on the Rogue Traders’ national tour and better yet it’s a concert you can enjoy on the day completely free of charge.

“It’s going to be a fantastic atmosphere and a wonderful day out.”

Festival goers can expect an afternoon of high energy, rock infused electro nostalgia from the band that taught Australia how to dance and live out loud.

Rogue Traders will bring their legendary classic lineup to the Childers Festival main stage, featuring powerhouse vocalist Natalie Bassingthwaighte alongside James Ash, Tim Henwood and Cameron McGlinchey.

Rogue Traders became a global phenomenon in the mid 2000s, selling more than one million records worldwide and earning multiple Platinum albums, 10 ARIA Award nominations, multiple APRA Awards and an MTV Award.

Their breakout album Here Come the Drums remains a defining release of the era.

Following their acclaimed reunion and the massive 2023 return single To The Disco, which reached number one on the iTunes Dance Chart, Rogue Traders are firing on all cylinders once again.

Fans can also expect a sneak peek of music from their brand new album Midnight Alarms, marking the next chapter for a band whose influence continues to echo across dancefloors today.
