One of Bundaberg’s popular coastal recreation spaces is set to be rejuvenated and the community is being invited to have a say on how Nielson Park, Bargara should be utilised into the future.

Bundaberg Library will be closed to the public for one week starting from 31 January to allow for a new air-conditioning system to be installed.

A free app designed to help reduce contamination in kerbside recycling was launched recently to help Bundaberg Region residents understand what can and can’t be recycled.

Bundaberg Regional Council’s recent, independent customer satisfaction survey shows the community has a high regard for the facilities and services provided.

Located on an under-utilised bare strip of land on the western side of the Botanic Gardens, newly planted trees will eventually grow into a vegetation type called “dry rainforest”, which once covered parts of the Bundaberg Region.

It was a busy year for art lovers in the region, with 29 exhibitions installed across Council galleries and more than 750 artworks hung from the walls in 2021.
