Christmas Waste Services Update 🎄 On 25 December, all waste facilities will be closed, except the Bundaberg Waste Management Facility (University Drive) which will be open from 7 am – 1 pm. ✔️ Boxing Day and New Year’s Day: Bundaberg Waste Management Facility will operate as normal. ✔️ All other waste facilities will follow standard business hours outside of public holidays. ❌ Bundaberg and Qunaba Tip Shops will be closed 27–28 December. If you're visiting a waste facility during this busy period, please remember to separate your loads beforehand to help keep things moving smoothly. 🗑️ Kerbside collections will start earlier than usual on public holidays. To avoid missed pickups, put bins out the night before your normal collection day.

A future road in the new Bundaberg Hospital precinct will be named for local nurse and Vietnam War veteran Carolyn Kennedy.

Following an increase in community complaints, new access hours will be introduced at the Hinkler Lions Tourist Park. Starting 27 January 2026, the park will be open 5.30 am to 6.30 pm daily.
