An inspiring bush tucker garden project undertaken by Bundaberg's Forestview Community Kindergarten is preparing the young students to tackle global issues.

When nine-year-old Bundaberg boy Jake Bacon suffered a heart attack while playing football, the RFDS and QAS crew flew in to action and this week the family reunited with emergency services to thank them for saving his life.

Originally the Wintergarden Theatre, and more recently Blockbuster and a gym, an iconic CBD building will be preserved and revitalised as a Community Hub.
