2024 Reconciliation Through Art Exhibition

IWC is proud to invite the community to experience the creativity and connection of its Reconciliation Through Art Exhibition, running from Monday 19 May to Friday 24 May at IWC’s Barolin Street entrance foyer.

In the lead up to National Reconciliation Week (NRW), the exhibition showcases vibrant and powerful artworks from local primary school students, all created through the IWC Reconciliation Art Project in response to this year’s NRW theme: “Bridging Now to Next.”

Each artwork was carefully judged anonymously by a panel made up of individuals with backgrounds in art, education, and community leadership.

The judges followed clear guidelines to ensure a fair and thoughtful selection process.

The entries received were bold, expressive, and carried impactful stories of reconciliation told through the eyes and hearts of our younger generation.

Their artworks show not just talent, but a deep understanding and hope for the future.

IWC sincerely thanks all the students who entered — every piece captured a meaningful voice, and we only wish there was space to display them all.

Now it’s over to the public to help choose the winners!

How to vote:

Head to the 184 Barolin Street entrance, pick up a voting card, explore the artworks on display, and mark your vote for the piece that connects with you most.

Voting is open throughout exhibition week, and the winning entries will be announced at a special Reconciliation Afternoon Tea on Wednesday 28 May as part of our NRW celebrations.

This is your chance to be part of a growing community movement that uplifts young voices, celebrates cultural understanding, and inspires progress through creativity.

We look forward to welcoming everyone.
