Today our club played host to the first rounds in the Champion of Champions Men’s Fours Competition.

While the weather wasn’t the best, the rain did hold off and the greens were running beautifully.

Woodgate had a win over Brothers 18/14 in the first round but went down to Bundaberg 19/21 in the next round.

Bargara defeated Gin Gin 25/9.

Moore Park defeated Elliott Heads 21/18.

ATW defeated Burnett 24/17.

Tomorrow the semi finals and final will be played at Moore Park.

Champion of Champion Fours

The Burnett Fours team of Cal Toft, Glen Hayes, Jamieson Morgan and Greg Jackson were defeated by the strong Waves team 24-17 on Saturday.

The Waves team went through to the Final where they were defeated by Bargara 22-12.

Bargara will now contest the zone playoffs in July.

City vs Country

The following teams have been selected to compete in the annual City Vs Country competition being held on Sunday 15 June at Burnet with a 1 pm start.

C Walker, B Whalley, K Lankowski & M Mizzi; C Toft, D Shield, J Morgan & G Jackson; G Mizzi, J Martin, D Rye and K Whalley; O Osborn, M Juillerat, K Franks and D Austin.

Any player that becomes unavailable is to inform the Games Director (Keith Whalley) as soon as possible.

Friday 6 June – the Goose Club raffle will be drawn at 7 pm – tickets are $1 each with 12 prizes to be won.

Tickets can be purchased from the bar or bought on the night.

The members draw will be conducted after the Goose Club draw – members must be present at the draw to claim the $340.

Live entertainment on Friday evening will be provided by ‘The Other Bloke’.

So come down to the Club for a great night out with the chance to win some cash and raffle prizes.

The Bistro will be operating on a full menu, so come along and try something from the new menu.
