Tuesday 8 July – Ladies Day

Paddle Pop Draw triples with two exciting finals games played today.

Firstly the final of the Open Ladies Consistency between our two top Lady bowlers, Fiona Dowling and Cheryl Hutchinson.

Fiona took the lead early in the match and didn’t let go of it through out the game.

Cheryl, while putting up a determined fight didn’t have an answer to Fiona’s great draw shots.

Consistency is a game that reinforces the importance of a good draw game and todays match saw some brilliant shots from both Ladies enjoyed by the bowlers and spectators alike!

Thanks to our V.P. Daphne Brettell who marked the final.

Next we had the final of the B Grade Pairs between Team Marjo: Lead Beth Clark-Coolee and Skip Marjo Greiner and Team Judy: Lead Barb Clarke and Skip Judy Stanley.

Team Judy got off to a slow start which allowed Team Marjo to take the lead and hold it through to the last end.

Again some great shots from both teams, especially from new bowlers Beth and Barb who both showed great promise for the future.
