What inspired you to create this event for Taste Bundaberg Festival?
Vineyard events, however I have been thinking about our strawberry farm events.
What can guests expect when they attend? Any standout experiences or surprises?
Guests will be welcomed and asked to choose a table.
The orchestra will be starting to warm up and the sun will be setting.
The lights will start to glow and the evening will be so lovely.
Tell us about the food and drink on offer – what makes it special or uniquely Bundaberg?
Steph from Mumma and Me Bites will create a gourmet platter with a selection of local fruits, dips, meats and of course strawberries.
We have such an amazing supply of local foods to enjoy.
Andrea from Mean Beans coffee van will be here selling hot and cold drinks.
Are you working with any local producers, chefs or artisans? Who are they and what do they bring to the table?
Steph and her team are renowned platter creators and do an amazing job.
We have used them before and were very impressed.
What’s the story behind your venue or location – why did you choose it?
Our farm has that vibe where you can come and just sit and relax.
We have owned our farm since 1988, and love our customers visiting our farm.
Seeing what we do and how we do it. This is a way of saying thanks.
Who is this event perfect for – families, foodies, adventurers, locals, visitors?
This is perfect for anyone who enjoys orchestral music, great food, a casual atmosphere, or just want to see what Bundaberg has to offer culturally.
What do you love most about being part of the Taste Bundaberg Festival?
Sharing our love for farming to as many people as we can.
How do you think your event contributes to the region’s food and drink story?
We want people to share in the love of fresh food, strawberries are used in every dish, being savoury, dessert and drinks.
While enjoying the talents of our local musicians and artists.
Do you have a favourite local ingredient or dish that features in your event?
Mmmm strawberries and beetroot!!
What’s one thing you hope every guest walks away with after attending your event?
This was so good, thanks for creating this event, and what are you going to come up with next!!!
