Soul to celebration: new Moncrieff program

The Moncrieff Entertainment Centre is turning up the volume with a new season of live performances and cinematic experiences to excite, energise and inspire.

Featuring events from October to December, the Moncrieff’s latest program is bursting with soul, storytelling and celebration, from Motown magic to festive favourites.

Bundaberg Regional Council’s Arts and Heritage portfolio spokesperson John Learmonth said audiences could expect a vibrant mix of world-class talent, community events and family-friendly entertainment.

“What a great program the Moncrieff has coming up, with so many notable performers coming to town,” Cr Learmonth said.

“We have ARIA Hall of Fame stars Human Nature touring their 20th anniversary show, and ARIA Award-winner Amy Shark sharing her stories and songs in an intimate acoustic set.

“Australian legend John Waters, touring with Stewart D’Arrietta and the Chartbusters, will present an era of music that remains in the treasured memory of fans over generations.”

Cr Learmonth said the Moncrieff’s Theatre Favourites Package offered great value for theatre fans who couldn’t choose between this program’s season events.

“In this program, the Theatre Favourites Package includes discounted tickets for two stellar shows.

“See both Mirusia and Broadway and Beyond for just $60, which is significantly reduced from the price per show when purchasing separately,” he said.

“Fans of beautiful voices won’t want to miss internationally acclaimed soprano, Mirusia, performing her Celebration concert.”

He said Broadway and Beyond was an energetic show that would bring to life the music, theatre and razzle and dazzle of popular musicals.

“Purchase the Theatre Favourites Package online or call the box office to book this package and save.”

Cr Learmonth said there was plenty to explore in the full program.

“From tribute acts to free film screenings, there’s so much to see and do at the

Moncrieff Entertainment Centre this summer,” he said.

“I encourage everyone to check out the full program online and make plans to enjoy some of the great performances coming to our region.”

Tickets are on sale now, online and at the box office.
