This year’s Childers Festival stallholder expressions of interest are now officially open

Local businesses, makers and creatives are being encouraged to secure their spot at the 2026 Childers Festival Market Day as stallholder expressions of interest are now officially open.

One of Bundaberg Regional Council’s most popular annual events, the Childers Festival attracts thousands of visitors each July as the historic main street comes alive with colour, culture and community spirit.

Running from Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 July, the 2026 program will feature hundreds of stallholders, live music across multiple stages, dance and cultural performances, roving entertainers and carnival rides.

Council events portfolio spokesperson Cr Steve Cooper said the festival continued to offer an invaluable platform for small businesses and artisans.

“The Childers Festival showcases the incredible diversity and creativity of our region,” Cr Cooper said.

“It’s a chance for local producers, artists and entrepreneurs to share their work with thousands of festivalgoers from across Queensland and beyond.”

The Childers Festival market day will be held on Sunday 26 July 2026.

Stallholder fees:

  • 3 m x 3 m site: $314
  • 6 m x 3 m site: $630

Site fees contribute to the operational costs of delivering this iconic regional event.

Cr Cooper said Council remained committed to supporting the local community, including offering discounted stallholder fees for those in the 4660 postcode.

“We’re pleased to again provide a 50% discount on site fees for Childers-based stallholders,” he said.

“It’s an important way to highlight the talent and produce that make Childers so special.

Interested stallholders are invited to complete an online expression of interest here as submissions close on 12 June.
