Artists ready to share their artwork with Bundaberg Region audiences are encouraged to prepare their exhibition proposals for the coming year.
Applications for the Bundaberg Regional Galleries 2027 exhibition program open on Wednesday 1 April 2026.
Council’s Arts and Heritage portfolio spokesperson Councillor John Learmonth said it was a great opportunity for artists at all stages of their careers.
“Applications are encouraged from established, mid-career and emerging artists who are looking to exhibit their work in a professional gallery environment,” Cr Learmonth said.
“It is an opportunity for professional artists to reach a regional audience, for local artists to take their practice to the next level, or for emerging artists to kick start their exhibiting career.
“We have an engaged arts audience in the region who support our galleries and look forward to seeing new exhibitions each season.”
Cr Learmonth said applicants could find information and resources on the Galleries’ website to support their proposal.
“We have four exhibition spaces at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery and one exhibition space at Childers Art Space that artists can consider when devising their exhibition.
“The floorplans for each space are available for download, along with descriptions and guidelines.
“These will help applicants to provide a clear description of what their exhibition might look like, as part of the application process.”
Potential applicants can also attend a free information session with Council’s Gallery Director to be guided through the application process.
