Fresh local flavours, ocean views and live music are on the menu this Father’s Day with Bundaberg Regional Council inviting the community to the inaugural Flavours by the Foreshore at Elliott Heads.
The brand-new, free event will make its debut as part of the 2026 Taste Bundaberg Festival, transforming Elliott Heads into a relaxed seaside celebration.
Running from 2 pm to 5.30 pm on Sunday 6 September, Flavours by the Foreshore will feature live music, boutique food vendors, artisan treats and plenty of space for families and friends to unwind by the ocean.
Visitors are encouraged to pack a picnic rug and settle in while exploring the boutique food marquee or pre-ordering a delicious grazing platter from local favourites Grunske’s by the River or Grazin4670 to enjoy throughout the afternoon.
Mayor Helen Blackburn said the event was a wonderful addition to the Taste Bundaberg Festival and showcased two of the region’s greatest assets – its outstanding local produce and spectacular coastline.
“Flavours by the Foreshore brings together everything people love about our region – beautiful ocean views, fresh local food, live entertainment and a welcoming community atmosphere,” she said.
“It’s the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day, whether you’re treating Dad to a grazing platter, discovering delicious local produce or simply enjoying a relaxing afternoon by the sea with family and friends.”
Flavours by the Foreshore is one of many events featured in this year’s Taste Bundaberg Festival, which runs from Friday 4 September to Sunday 13 September.

The festival celebrates Bundaberg’s rich agricultural heritage and vibrant food scene through a diverse program of long lunches, cooking classes, family experiences and unique dining events hosted across the region.
Flavours by the Foreshore will be held at Elliott Heads Foreshore on Sunday 6 September from 2 pm to 5.30 pm.
Along with pre-order platter, guests will also enjoy Dion Taylor from HSG cooking with the Yagoona BBQ, Bargara Berries strawberries and dessert boxes, Tasty Street Food, Rozies Coffee, Bundaberg Ferments (Kombucha), 384 Brewery and more.
Entry is free.
