Taste Bundaberg Festival is serving up plenty of opportunities for food lovers of all ages, with a range of family friendly events designed to bring people together through local flavours, hands on experiences and great entertainment.

Whether you’re looking for a free day out, a chance to learn new skills in the kitchen or a relaxed evening with the family, here are six events to add to your festival itinerary.

Beatz + Bites: Taste the Caribbean

Kick off the festival with a lively riverside celebration packed with Caribbean inspired flavours, live entertainment and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for families and groups.

Enjoy everything from Brazilian barbecue to jerk chicken tacos while soaking up the waterfront vibes and high energy entertainment from internationally renowned DJ Pilo.

When: Friday 4 September

Flavours by the Foreshore

Spend Father’s Day by the sea with an afternoon of live music, local food vendors and stunning ocean views at Elliott Heads.

Pack a picnic rug, gather the family and enjoy a relaxed community atmosphere while exploring delicious treats from some of the Bundaberg Region’s favourite food businesses.

Pizza + Twilight at Mystery Craters

Enjoy a family night out with freshly prepared stone baked pizzas and after-hours access to one of the region’s most unique attractions.

As the sun sets, explore Mystery Craters and savour a relaxed evening surrounded by nature, local hospitality and great food.

Agrotrend + Farmers Market

A favourite for farming families and food lovers alike, Agrotrend combines machinery, lifestyle exhibits and a vibrant farmers market celebrating local produce and handmade goods.

Browse stalls filled with fresh fruit and vegetables, artisan products, baked treats and handcrafted creations while enjoying a full day of family friendly activities.

Family Friendly Masterclass with Chef Joey Caruana

Roll up your sleeves and get cooking side by side in this fun, hands-on culinary experience designed specifically for families.

Using local ingredients, young chefs and their grown-ups will learn practical kitchen skills, from safe food handling and preparation techniques to plating up their creation with flair.

When: Sunday 13 September

Time: 10 am – 1 pm (8 – 12 years) and 4 – 7 pm (12 – 15 years)
