Audiences in Childers and Gin Gin can enjoy an out-of-this-world theatrical experience as the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre presents The Outhouse.
This intimate and interactive comedy show will be held at the Isis Cultural Centre on Friday 9 October and the Gin Gin RSL on Saturday 10 October at a cost of just $15 per ticket, including free community workshops.
Hosted by the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre in collaboration with QTouring, The Outhouse follows clowns Luna and Hope as they embark on a journey into outer space in an unlikely outhouse rocket.
This two-woman show starring Phoebe Manning and Sarah Whitehead blends clowning, shadow puppetry and animation into an interactive experience for audiences of all ages with hands on craft, collective problem solving and lots of laughter.
Community workshops
As part of the theatrical tour, The Outhouse performer and Vulcana Circus trainer Phoebe Manning will host free circus workshops in Childers and Gin Gin.
While students from Childers State School will take part in the Childers workshop as part of their school day, the Gin Gin workshop is open to all families and will take place at the Gin Gin RSL on Saturday 10 October at 2 pm.
Aimed at primary school-aged children, the workshop will explore clowning, juggling, hula hooping, plate spinning and acro-balance with a focus on play and creativity.
