Wallaville Park will be closed from Tuesday 6 October while upgrade works get underway.
The park is being upgraded with a range of new facilities, including:
• A new playground with swings, play unit and spinner.
• A multi-use sports court with basketball half court and futsal goal.
• Two shelters.
• New bench seating and accessible table settings.
• An accessible barbecue and drinking fountain.
• New concrete paths connecting the park entrance with the toilet facility, playground, barbecue and sports court.
Construction dates
Demolition of the existing playground equipment, shelter and table setting will commence Tuesday 6 October and is expected to take approximately one week.
Installation of the new playground equipment and park amenities will follow, with works expected to be completed by 20 November, weather and construction conditions permitting.
Temporary closure
For public safety, Wallaville Park will be fenced off and closed to the public while works are underway.
The existing toilet facility will remain in place and will be accessible where possible, however, there will be periods during construction when the toilet facility will also be closed.
Please observe all temporary fencing and signage and stay clear of the construction area while works are underway.
