October is Queensland Seniors Month with events taking place throughout the region.
From tours and teas to crafts and expos, Bundaberg Regional Council is celebrating senior residents and their connection to the community.

Free Seniors Month Screening: The War with Grandpa
Have a laugh and enjoy this free screening of The War with Grandpa, based on the popular book by Robert Kimmel Smith.
Starring Robert De Niro and Uma Thurman, follow the fallout as Peter is forced to give up his bedroom to his Grandpa Jack.
When: Wednesday 7 October, 10.30 am – 12.15 pm

Seniors Month Tour of Hinkler House and Morning Tea
Celebrate 100 years of Hinkler House with a guided tour followed by morning tea served in the beautiful Bundaberg Botanic Gardens.
Bookings are essential as tickets are limited and available to senior card holders only.
When: Thursday 8 October and 15 October, 9.30 am – 11 am

Gin Gin Seniors Expo
Learn more about social programs and community groups and enjoy a workshop or two at the Gin Gin Seniors Expo.
Join the Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre team in celebrating the important roles seniors play in the community.

Seniors Month Morning Tea
Join the Childers Neighbourhood Centre in celebrating the contribution of local seniors with a relaxed morning tea.
Listen to guest speakers from Meals on Wheels and Aged Care and enjoy some fun and games with activities on offer – everyone is welcome!

Opera Queensland’s Bravo!
Created for seasoned opera lovers and first-time audiences alike, enjoy some of opera’s most recognisable music with Bravo!
Featuring music from Puccini, Verdi, Mozart, Bizet and more, this 80-minute concert reveals the stories, characters and composers behind the music performed by current and former Opera Queensland Young Artists.
When: Saturday 31 October, 2.30 – 4.30 pm
