Bundaberg Regional Council has appointed LCB Civil Pty Ltd as the Principal Contractor to undertake the Pavement and Guardrail Renewal Works on Barolin Esplanade, Coral Cove at Palmer Creek.
Works are scheduled to commence on Monday 9 November 2026, with completion expected by Saturday 28 November 2026, weather and construction conditions permitting.
What’s happening
The works will improve road conditions, safety and long term capacity and include:
- Pavement rehabilitation and widening
- Guardrail Replacement
- Bicycle Fencing
- New line marking, signage, guideposts and raised reflective pavement markers.
Road closure and access
A full road closure will be in place between Amronel Close, Innes Park and Jennifer Young Park, Coral Cove during the construction works.
Pedestrian access will be maintained where possible; however, temporary restrictions may be required to ensure public safety during certain construction activities.
No vehicular access will be available during the road closure. An alternate route during the works is included on the back of this notice.
Working hours
- Monday to Friday 6.30 am to 6 pm.
- Saturday 6.30 am to 4 pm, where required.
- Two nights of night shift are expected for Asphalt surfacing works, dates to be advised.
Waste collection
Waste collection services will continue during the works.
Where property access is temporarily restricted, LCB Civil will coordinate with Council and help move bins to an agreed collection point for those affected.
Bus services
The road closure will affect Translink routes B620, B622, B678, B679, B681 and B682.
Translink is arranging revised bus routes for the duration of the works, and this information will be made available to affected residents.
Residents are also encouraged to check Translink information before travelling once the changes are implemented.
