As the sun sets over Lake Redbrook, the sounds of David De Vito and The Leading Men will take over to entertain guests at the popular Opera by the Lake event as part of this year's Childers Festival.

Celebrity chef and My Kitchen Rules judge Colin Fassnidge is headed to the region for Taste Bundaberg Festival cooking demonstrations, book signings and an exclusive culinary masterclass.

The annual Sugar Mill and Cane Fire tours will once again light up the night for those who take part in the Childers Festival event, showcasing the working ways of a mill and a spectacular demonstration of a sugar cane burn.

Flavours that make up the region will be showcased throughout 10 tantalising days of the Taste Bundaberg Festival in August, with a smorgasbord of food-focused events on offer.

The Flourish Family Fun Day, to be held on Thursday 30 June, will not only be an opportunity for families to enjoy a social day out at Boreham Park but will also provide the community with plenty of information about child and family health.
