The Bundaberg Aquatic Centre is a state-of-the-art facility designed to support the community’s health, wellbeing and sporting aspirations all year round.

Offering a wide range of training, remedial and recreational swimming options for people of all ages and abilities, the centre provides a welcoming and accessible environment for everyone - from elite athletes to young learners and those seeking gentle exercise or rehabilitation.

Conveniently located on Walker Street, opposite the Bundaberg Multiplex, the facility features a modern design focused on accessibility, comfort and community use.

Boasting three pools as well as activity rooms the centre opened its doors to the community for the first time on Saturday 6 December 2025.

At the heart of the centre is the 50-metre, 10-lane competition pool, built to Olympic specifications with a depth of two metres and a width of 25 metres.

This premier pool includes integrated judging, timing, scoreboard and marshalling facilities, making it ideal for professional competitions and major swim meets.

For recreational and fitness swimmers, the indoor 25-metre, eight-lane lap pool offers a comfortable environment year-round.

Heated to 28 degrees and fully enclosed, it provides the perfect setting for lap swimming, training sessions and casual exercise regardless of the weather.

The centre also includes a heated program and learn-to-swim pool, purpose-built for remedial swimming, aqua aerobics and physiotherapy.

This warm water pool, with depths ranging from 90 cm to 1.4 metres, is fully accessible via ramp, chair lift and pool hoist, ensuring inclusivity for all users.
