Drop-in sewing morning
Zonta Club of Bundaberg will host a drop-in sewing morning at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery on Saturday 16 August to create breast care cushions for patients recovering from breast surgery.
The handmade cushions are given free of charge to hospitals, breast care nurses and individuals to assist patients to sit, sleep and rest more comfortably.
The Zonta Breast Care Cushion Project is a long running initiative that seeks to improve the quality of life for patients by easing physical discomfort and reminding recipients they are not alone during their recovery.
Community members of all sewing abilities are encouraged to come along to the gallery between 10 am and 12 pm to participate in this hands-on activity that connects art, advocacy and community care.
