Looking for a free adventure with a view? Head up to The Hummock – a local favourite with a volcanic past!
Once named “The Sloping Hummock” by Lieutenant Matthew Flinders in 1799, this scenic spot now offers panoramic views from the coast to the cane fields.
The whole family can enjoy a wander up the timber boardwalk through the rare Woongarra Scrub.
You can also explore short walking tracks in Maureen Schmidt Park and then take in the sweeping views from the lookout on Turners Way.
It’s the perfect place to stretch your legs, snap a photo and soak in the region’s natural beauty – all for free!
