Inspired by the incredible true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, Only the Brave follows a courageous team of firefighters who rise to become one of the most elite wildfire crews in the nation.

Starring Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Taylor Kitsch, Jeff Bridges, James Badge Dale and Jennifer Connelly, this powerful film shines a light on the unbreakable brotherhood formed on the front lines as they battle a devastating blaze to protect lives, homes and communities.

The film was chosen to reflect the very real fire risks faced in the Bundaberg Region and to showcase the brave work of firefighters and emergency services teams.

Before the screening, Council’s Disaster Management Team will host an informative discussion on how to stay prepared for emergencies.

Guests will also receive Get Ready handouts to help kickstart their own household readiness.

It’s the perfect opportunity to be inspired, learn practical preparedness tips and get familiar with Council’s Disaster Dashboard, a one-stop-shop for information during severe weather events.
