The region’s festive season is set to sparkle with the launch of Bundaberg Regional Council’s 2026 Christmas program, featuring a packed calendar of events and activities for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Community favourite Pageant of Lights will once again roll through the Bundaberg CBD on 3 December to officially launch the Christmas season, this time celebrating 30 years since it first began.
The festive program continues with Artisan Twilight Markets, festive movie screenings, holiday entertainment live on stage, Christmas in the CBD window display competition and New Year’s Eve Fireworks.

Bundaberg Region Mayor Helen Blackburn said the Christmas program offered something for everyone to enjoy throughout the festive season.
“First lighting up the CBD 30 years ago, the Pageant of Lights has been a cherished Christmas tradition for our community and we are proud to celebrate this milestone as part of this year’s program,” Mayor Blackburn said.
“The Christmas program is filled with opportunities for residents and visitors to come together, support local businesses, enjoy live entertainment and celebrate everything that makes this time of year special.
“Whether you’re watching the Christmas lights come to life, finding the perfect gift at the Artisan Twilight Markets, enjoying festive entertainment or counting down to the New Year, there is something for everyone to enjoy.”
Mayor Blackburn encouraged residents to explore the full program and start planning their festive season.

“Our Christmas program also showcases the incredible effort of community groups, performers, volunteers and local businesses who help make the season so special,” she said.
“I encourage everyone to take a look through the program and discover what’s happening across the region this Christmas.”
Residents and visitors can view the full Christmas program online here.
