Bundaberg Regional Council has appointed LCB Civil Pty Ltd as Principal Contractor to undertake sand nourishment works at Bargara.
These works are part of the Bargara Shoreline Erosion Management Plan.
Work is planned to commence Monday 20 July.
Activities are expected to be carried out between the hours of 6.30 am and 6 pm Monday to Saturday.
On occasion, activities may be required outside these hours to accommodate works around tide movements.
Works will be undertaken with changes to traffic conditions and delays may be experienced during this time.
Access to private properties adjoining the work areas will be maintained during the works period.
Beach access restrictions will be in place around the immediate work site.
The boat ramp will remain open for the duration of the works with limited parking available.
Bundaberg Regional Council is aware of the inconvenience this work causes and thanks businesses, residents and beach users in advance for their patience and co-operation.
Work is expected to be complete by the end of September 2026.
