Notice is given under the Planning Act 2016 that on 28 July 2026, Bundaberg Regional Council adopted an amendment to the Bundaberg Regional Council Planning Scheme, being Amendment No.17 (Tailored Amendment – Bundaberg Health and Enterprise Precinct). The amendment will commence as Version 6.6 of the Planning Scheme on 31 July 2026.
The purpose and effect of the tailored amendment is to incorporate the Bundaberg Health and Enterprise Precinct local plan within Part 7 (Local Plans) of the Planning Scheme to facilitate the creation of a high quality and vibrant health, knowledge and enterprise precinct surrounding the new Bundaberg Hospital being constructed by the Queensland Government at Thabeban, supported by interconnected residential neighbourhoods and supporting local services, community facilities and open space.
The amendment includes associated zoning changes (Schedule 2 – Mapping) and the inclusion of tables of assessment (Part 5 – Tables of Assessment) to better facilitate consistent uses within sub-precincts of the Bundaberg Health and Enterprise Precinct local plan.
The amended planning scheme is available for viewing and download at www.bundaberg.qld.gov.au and is available for inspection and purchase at Council’s Development counter at the Auswide Building, Level 6, 16-20 Barolin Street, Bundaberg.
