Eight months on from the devastating bushfires which consumed almost 5000 hectares of the Burrum Coast National Park, the regeneration of flora and the re-emergence of fauna is becoming evident.
A group of residents passionate about our coastal areas have been thanked for their work as part of the Community Reference Group for the Bundaberg Region Coastal Hazard Adaption Strategy (CHAS).
Spectators were able to return to the Bundaberg horse races for the first time in six meetings on Saturday and while numbers at the facility including officials, trainers and jockeys, were limited to 300 due to COVID-19 Phase 3 restrictions, a good time was had by all despite the persistent showers.
It’s hard to know what job or career to choose in year 10, which is why hundreds of students from Shalom College have taken part in Bundaberg Regional Council’s Jobs Commitment Program.
