Art projects, development and skills-building opportunities and creative collaborations are all eligible for the latest round of Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) grants.
In the 2025-26 budget, Bundaberg Regional Council matched funding secured from Arts Queensland to provide a total $104,500 funding pool this financial year for projects led by local artists and community organisations.
The funding program supports artists, arts workers and arts organisations with grants for projects that promote artistic development, skill-building, and creative collaboration.
Council’s Arts and Heritage portfolio spokesperson Councillor John Learmonth said the projects funded by the RADF scheme encouraged the region’s artists to develop and expand their arts practice.
“The Regional Arts Development Fund is such a great resource for our community, supporting artists and organisations to present engaging projects in the region,” he said.
“The projects funded by the program bring such vibrancy and depth to our local arts community.
“I encourage all local creatives and artists to check their eligibility and consider applying for a grant.”
RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Bundaberg Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
Minister for Education and the Arts John-Paul Langbroek said RADF has an impressive track record of supporting local arts and cultural programs across Queensland communities.
“For 34 years, Arts Queensland has partnered with regional councils to co-invest in local arts initiatives that generate jobs, community engagement and help boost local economies,” Minister Langbroek said.
“Each year, RADF programs reach more than one million people across Queensland, securing local arts experiences and cultural tourism opportunities in regional areas, as well as supporting local artists in the lead up to Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
