Lift, dance, box or paddle with Be Active Be Alive

Be Active Be Alive’s Stretch and Strength class at the Elliott Heads Progress Hall.

Bundaberg Regional Council’s Be Active Be Alive fitness program is back, bringing a fresh lineup of exciting, inclusive and free classes to parks, pools and venues across the region.

Whether you’re an outdoor adventurer, a dance floor regular or just looking for a fun way to move, there’s something for every age, ability and energy level.

Fitness that feels like fun

SHiNE Dance Fitness is a high-energy workout set to uplifting music, blending easy-to-follow moves with a whole lot of joy. It’s full-body cardio that feels more like fun than exercise.

Clubbercise is a full-body workout held in a darkened room, combining glow sticks, party lights and club anthems with easy-to-follow toning and combat moves – all danced at your own pace.

Skills with a side of sweat

BounceFit Table Tennis blends table tennis skills with simple movement activities to boost agility, coordination and mobility. With bats, balls and even a robot pong machine, it’s a social, low-pressure way to get active and laugh along the way.

Pickleball is a paddle sport mash-up of tennis, badminton and ping-pong that’s easy to learn and perfect for all ages. The smaller court size makes it social, accessible and a great way to get moving – no experience needed.

Power and punch

BoxFit is inspired by boxing training and delivers a cardio blast with skipping, drills, footwork and core work. It’s functional fitness with a punch. Attendees are encouraged to bring cotton glove inners if possible.

Circuit rotates through different exercise stations to target multiple muscle groups in a single class – strength, resistance and cardio all in one.

The great outdoors

Kite flying (intro to kitesurfing) is your chance to take flight with a small trainer kite and learn the basics of wind sports. It’s a fun, beginner-friendly experience that boosts coordination and mental wellbeing.

Canoeing invites you to explore the natural beauty of our local waterways with a guided paddle session. It’s a peaceful way to connect with nature while building upper body strength and practicing mindfulness.

Mindful walking helps you slow down and tune in through meditative sessions in nature. These gentle walks promote mental clarity, emotional wellbeing and the physical benefits of moving outdoors.
