Collaborating for a safer, more vibrant CBD

Bundaberg Chamber of Commerce Vice President David Coe, Regional Business HQ CEO Brooke Fossey, Mayor Helen Blackburn, Queensland Police Service Bundaberg Patrol Group Chief Inspector Grant Marcus.

It’s a team effort to make Bundaberg’s CBD a safer and more vibrant place to work and shop.

The Bundaberg Chamber of Commerce, local businesses, police and Bundaberg Regional Council are working together through the Safe Spaces, Thriving Places initiative, aiming to enhance community safety and confidence.

Feedback from the program has been overwhelmingly positive. Here are a few comments from a recent post:

  • Thank goodness people are trying to make our city a better place. It is beautiful area with lovely historic buildings.
  • Keep up the good work, Rome wasn’t built in a day.
  • I think its great to see some positive action towards a good direction. Well over due, obviously, but its still good to see some attempt to move forwards. Keep it going. It would be great to see more community also trying to push a positive narrative and assist in getting our city back on track.
  • Thank you There’s still time to share your thoughts.
