Bundaberg Regional Council approved a Material Change of Use development application that will see a mix of industrial tenancies and fitness infrastructure delivered at the Bundaberg East site.

A new multi-building precinct featuring a large-scale gym has been given the green light at this week’s Ordinary Meeting.

Bundaberg Regional Council approved a Material Change of Use development application that will see a mix of industrial tenancies and fitness infrastructure delivered at the Bundaberg East site.

The development will comprise three buildings supported by 126 car parking spaces and dual access points via Scotland Street and Steindl Street.

Building 1 will be located at the southern end of the site, delivering 2,308 m² of gross floor area across four medium impact industry tenancies.

At the heart of the precinct, Building 2a will house a substantial 1,963 m² indoor recreation facility (gym) while building 2b will provide a separate medium impact industry space of 349 m².

Building 3, to be constructed on the north-eastern portion of the site, will add a further medium impact industry tenancy with a gross floor area of 869 m².

The development will be delivered across two stages:

• Stage 1 comprising of Building 1 and Tenancy 6 (included as part of Building 2). The stage will also comprise of the crossovers to Scotland Street and Steindl Street and 33 car parking spaces.

• Stage 2 will comprise of the balance of the development, include Building 3, the gym and the remaining 93 carparking spaces.
