Find the perfect gift for Mother’s Day, or a treat for yourself, at Bundaberg Regional Galleries’ Artisan Twilight Markets.
Offering an array of handcrafted products and one-of-a-kind artworks, the markets will be held in Gallery Park on Friday 8 May from 4 pm.
Stalls from local makers and artists will be arranged under the soft glow of fairy lights and lanterns, with music from Bre Ferguson and Brent Lanzon adding to the ambience.
Stallholder Ash Baldwin from Crafted by Ash will bring her range of laser cut and engraved gifts in her third outing at the gallery’s markets.
“I love the whimsical atmosphere of the event,” Ash said
“It is well curated with like-minded artisans, the team do a great job showcasing us to the community.”
Ash said she enjoyed the positive community interaction the market offered, with the visitors as well as other stall holders.
“They all have such kind, encouraging words to share,” she said.
“The community attendance and encouraging support from the gallery team, Council employees and other artisans is another reason why I keep applying to attend.”
Council’s Arts and Heritage portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said the event was part of Council’s Safe Spaces Thriving Places initiative to reinvigorate the Bundaberg CBD.
“The markets are a great way to connect with makers from across the Bundaberg Region,” Cr Learmonth said.
“It’s also a wonderful way to support small businesses and independent artisans who add so much to our regional economy.
“It will be fantastic to see Gallery Park filled with creativity, community and shoppers enjoying the CBD.”
Artisan Twilight Markets will be held on Friday 8 May from 4 to 7 pm.
Gallery Park is adjacent to Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery at 1 Barolin Street, Bundaberg.
