Residents, businesses and motorists are advised that temporary road closures will be in place during Childers Festival to ensure the safety of patrons, stallholders, and event staff.

Closure times: 5.30 am to 5.30 pm
Roads affected:
- Bruce Highway (Churchill Street) between the Isis Highway intersection and Taylor Street (closed)
- Taylor Street
- Thompson Street
- Broadhurst Street
- Macrossan Street
- Stewart Street
Detours will be in place and clearly signed for northbound and southbound traffic.
- Northbound detour: Taylor Street → Thompson Street → Broadhurst Street → Bruce Highway
- Southbound detour: Broadhurst Street → Macrossan Street → Stewart Street → Bruce Highway
Please allow extra travel time and follow all signage and directions from traffic controllers.
RV stopover areas in Crescent Street including access the EV charging station, water point and dump point will be closed from 3 pm Tuesday 21 July to 12 pm Monday 27 July 2026.
Crescent Street, Childers will be closed from 6 am Thursday 23 July until 12 pm Monday 27 July 2026.
