
Bundaberg Regional Council has plenty of cool activities planned to keep the kids busy these winter school holidays.
With familiar favourites as well as some new and exciting events, Councilβs School Holiday Guide is full of ideas for families to explore.
From art and craft activities to free film screenings and getting to know the animals at the zoo, find out where the fun is happening:
Paint your own Bert Hinkler pottery statue
Donβt miss the opportunity to get creative and paint your very own Bert Hinkler pottery statue at the Hinkler Hall of Aviation on Wednesday 8 July.
Limited tickets are available for the two workshops at 9.30 and 10.30 am, with all paints supplied as well as the pottery figure created in collaboration with the Art & Pottery Studio.
When: Wednesday 8 July, 9.30 β 10.30 am, 10.30 β 11.30 am.

The Wild Robot β free school holiday film
Enjoy a free school holiday screening of award-winning film The Wild Robot at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 1 July.
Based on the best-selling book, this epic adventure follows the journey of robot ROZZUM who gets shipwrecked on an island and must learn to adapt to her new surroundings and build relationships with the animals around her.

Mini-Makers: Mobile sculptures
Get ready to build, balance and bring your ideas to life in this hands-on guided workshop where kids can create their own mobile sculpture using recycled materials.
Inspired by the imaginative architecture of Lost Palm Springs exhibition now showing at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery, participants will explore how shapes, weight and motion work together while decorating and constructing a mobile to take home.
When: Thursday 2 July and Thursday 9 July, 10 β 11.30 am

Zoo Keeper Talks
Alexandra Park Zoo offers an expanded program of talks across the school holidays, giving visitors extra opportunities to meet different animals, hear from our zookeepers and enjoy a close up look at feeding time.
The extended program for Zoo Keeper Talks runs from Saturday 27 June to Sunday 12 July and is available here.
Art and craft at the libraries
There are plenty of opportunities to get creative at Bundaberg Regional Libraries these holidays with activities offered in Bundaberg, Childers, Gin Gin and Woodgate.
