Bundaberg tourism operators including the iconic Hinkler Hall of Aviation are being featured in a new statewide campaign encouraging Queenslanders to book regional experiences this winter.

The Regional Rewards campaign will provide discounts on eligible tours and attractions, helping drive visitation and support local businesses across the Bundaberg Region.

Mayor Helen Blackburn said the initiative would deliver meaningful benefits for the region’s visitor economy.

“Regional Rewards is a welcome boost for Bundaberg’s tourism industry, backing the operators who deliver the experiences our region is known for,” Mayor Blackburn said.

“Every discounted booking helps support local jobs, local businesses and the vibrant visitor economy that keeps Bundaberg moving forward.”

Mayor Blackburn said the campaign also highlighted the strength and diversity of local tourism offerings.

“Bundaberg offers some of Queensland’s most memorable experiences – from the heritage-rich Hinkler Hall of Aviation to our reef, wildlife and food tourism,” she said.

“This initiative gives visitors one more reason to choose our region and discover what makes the Bundaberg Region and the Southern Great Barrier Reef such a special place to explore.”

Queensland Government rewards to supercharge regional tourism

The Queensland Government has partnered with RACQ to supercharge regional tourism, launching a new campaign to drive bookings and inject millions into local economies across Queensland.

The Regional Rewards campaign is designed to encourage more visitors to explore the State’s regions, supporting local operators, jobs, and communities.

Under the initiative, travellers who spend $200 or more on eligible tours, attractions or experiences can unlock a $100 discount using the code QLD100 via Experience Oz.

With 10,000 discounted bookings available, the campaign is expected to generate more than $2 million in direct economic benefit for regional tourism businesses.

The campaign also supports the long-term goals of Destination 2045, by driving increased regional visitation and strengthening Queensland’s visitor economy.

Bookings are open from 16 June to 31 July 2026 (or until sold out), with travel valid from 17 June to 4 October 2026, driving visitation throughout the peak winter period.

Regional Rewards forms part of Queensland’s broader That Holiday Feeling Starts Here campaign, a statewide push to encourage travel and spending across the State.

Tourism and Events Queensland CEO Craig Davidson said Regional Rewards was designed to boost bookings and draw more visitors to regional Queensland.

Regional Rewards is about inspiring people to get out and experience the best our regions have to offer,” Mr Davidson said.

“It adds extra momentum to our Holiday Feeling Starts Here winter campaign, with a simple, compelling offer that makes it even easier to book a regional experience.”

Regional Rewards bookings are available via Experience Oz at ExperienceOz.com.au/QLD100 from 16 June to 31 July 2026, or until sold out.
