From romance to rural fiction and political thrillers, an exciting line up of writers will be appearing at author talks at the Bundaberg Library over the next few months.
These free evening events will include light refreshments, with books on sale and question and answer opportunities with the invited authors.
Celebrate the month of love with romance authors Amy Andrews and Frances Dall’Alba in February, followed by fiction writer Kimberley Allsopp along with political thriller author Sam Guthrie.
Those who enjoy rural fiction are in for a treat when small town series writer Heather Reyburn hosts her author talk in May.
Council’s Arts, Heritage and Asset Management portfolio spokesperson Councillor John Learmonth said it was an exciting opportunity for local readers to engage with authors from a range of genres.
“Our author talks are looking a little different this year with evening sessions making it easier for more community members to attend,” Cr Learmonth said.
“We are lucky to have a great line up of writers coming to visit in the early part of the year and share the story behind their books.
“It’s another great way for the community to enjoy the library as a social space, come along with your friends or your book club and get to know other fellow book lovers.”
While all author talks are free, bookings are required and will open two weeks prior to each event.
