Since opening its doors in the Bundaberg CBD in 2022, Rhino Support Coordination has been making a positive difference in the lives of local people while contributing to a more connected and inclusive city centre.
Founded by Director Ryan Nielsen, the NDIS support agency delivers compassionate, practical support to participants across the region while continuing to expand its services to meet community needs.
Rhino Support Coordination offers NDIS Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination, NDIS Level 2 Support Coordination, Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and Support at Home Coordination (SaH), assisting people with a wide range of individual needs.
“What makes us special is that we go above and beyond for our participants to help give them the support they need,” Ryan said.
Situated on Tantitha Street, the business said its central location played an important role in connecting participants with the services they need.
“As Support Coordinators, being close to community services, government agencies, healthcare providers and local businesses helps us build stronger networks and achieve better outcomes for the people we support,” Ryan said.
Safe Spaces, Thriving Places initiative to make CBD even better
As a proud CBD business, Rhino Support Coordination is also supporting Bundaberg Regional Council’s Safe Spaces, Thriving Places campaign which aims to create a safe, welcoming and vibrant city centre for businesses, residents and visitors.
“We support the Safe Spaces, Thriving Places initiative because we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and valued in our community,” Ryan said.
“As a business that works closely with people from diverse backgrounds and circumstances, we see firsthand the positive impact that kindness, understanding and community support can have.
“Creating safe and welcoming public spaces benefits everyone and helps make Bundaberg an even better place to live, work and visit.”
Ryan said one of the greatest strengths of operating in the city centre was the support shown by fellow local businesses.
“Bundaberg businesses genuinely support one another and there is a shared commitment to helping the region grow and thrive,” he said.
“We value the relationships we’ve built with local organisations, service providers and community groups, all of whom play an important role in creating positive outcomes for the people we support.”
For those who haven’t visited the city centre in a while, Ryan encouraged them to see firsthand how the CBD continued to evolve.
“Come and have another look – you might be surprised by how much the Bundaberg CBD has to offer,” he said.
“It’s a vibrant, welcoming space with great local businesses, cafés, community events and services.”
