The latest addition to the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal collectible bauble series is now available, giving residents the chance to celebrate the festive season while supporting local families in need.

This year’s bauble shines a spotlight on the Gin Gin region, featuring elements inspired by the unique heritage and character of the township.

Bundaberg Region Mayor Helen Blackburn said the annual baubles had become a much-loved tradition, with many residents eagerly adding each new design to their collection.

“Each year our Mayor’s Christmas Appeal baubles tell a story about our region, and this year we are proud to showcase the unique spirit of Gin Gin,” Mayor Blackburn said.

“These baubles have become highly sought-after collector’s items and make wonderful gifts for family and friends.”

“It’s also great to see people make them their own and start a fun family tradition with the option to paint or personalise.”

Already in full swing, the 2026 Mayor’s Christmas Appeal is aiming to build on another successful year of community fundraising.

Last year’s Appeal raised more than $75,000 which provided 930 Christmas hampers and 225 gift cards, distributed by local charities and community organisations to families across the Bundaberg Region.

Mayor Blackburn said every bauble purchased would help continue that support this festive season.

“The generosity of our community helps ensure local families receive a little extra support and kindness at Christmas,” Mayor Blackburn said.

“By purchasing a bauble, residents are not only adding to their collection but contributing to an initiative that makes a real difference in people’s lives.”

This year’s bauble was once again etched locally by MAKI Print.

Funds raised through bauble sales will support the 2026 Mayor’s Christmas Appeal and help local charities and community organisations assist families experiencing hardship during the festive season.

The community can purchase their limited edition bauble for $10 each from the Bundaberg Regional Council Administration Building and the Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre.

Residents are encouraged to secure their bauble early as stock is limited.
