Vector control targets mosquitoes following flood

Bundaberg Regional Council has undertaken vector control to limit mosquito numbers after the recent flood event.

Bundaberg Regional Council advises people in the Bundaberg Region to STAY INFORMED of the ongoing isolation, health and safety risks following major flooding on the Burnett River.  

Volunteer clean-up efforts support flood recovery

Bundaberg Regional Council has nominated ALIVE Church to coordinate volunteer clean-up efforts and community donations following the March 2026 flooding event.

Extension of trading hours for flood recovery

Local businesses providing essential goods to the community during the flood recovery process can now extend their operating hours.

Remote communities flood impacted, isolated

Authorities are working as quickly as possible to access multiple communities in the upper catchment of the Burnett River which have been significantly impacted by flooding and isolation.

Flood impacted property waste removal support

Bundaberg Regional Council is providing support to flood impacted residential properties with free kerbside waste collection and free waste disposal. Find out more ⬇️
