A C-17A Globemaster gave plane spotters in Bundaberg a thrill when it flew over the region late Friday afternoon.
The gigantic plane has a wing span of 51.75 metres and made several touch and go landings at Bundaberg Airport on Runway 32 before it flew off into the distance again.

According to the Australian Airforce, the C-17A Globemaster is a high-wing four-engine heavy transport aircraft.
Fitted with a massive cargo bay ramp, the plane is able to airdrop cargo in-flight and can operate from unsurfaced runways as short as 3500 feet.
The C-17A Globemaster III provides the Air Force with an unprecedented capacity for strategic airlift.
It allows Australia to rapidly deploy troops, supplies, combat vehicles, heavy equipment and helicopters anywhere in the world.
Eight of the planes are based at RAAF Base Amberley and provide a logistics backbone for Australian Defence Force operations overseas.
This has included operations in the Middle East and Afghanistan, as well as East Timor.
