It’s been another busy year at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre with over 31, 000 people through the doors in 2025.
The popular entertainment venue hosted 57 live events and 32 cinema screenings with big names lighting up the stage from Pete Murray to John Butler and Mirusia.
Venue highlights included the completion of scheduled maintenance works and improvements to the ticketing systems allowing patrons to book accessible seating online as well as preview stage view options when booking.
Council’s Arts, Heritage and Asset Management portfolio spokesperson Councillor John Learmonth said it had been another great year for the venue with more exciting plans for the year ahead.
“The Moncrieff is a fantastic space to showcase live and cinema entertainment options for our region,” Cr Learmonth said.
“The community remains at the heart of the venue, from school shows to eisteddfods, as well as 12 free cinema screenings and three free foyer exhibitions featuring local artists hosted throughout the year.
“We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported the venue, particularly those who booked tickets to see the shows, we can’t wait to bring you more next year!”
Top supporters recognised
The Moncrieff reached out to thank the top five supporters of shows in 2025 including Joanne McLaughlin who bought tickets to 15 performances throughout the year.
“It’s nice to get the recognition and we are looking forward to our next visit,” Joanne said.
“You are made to feel welcome from the members of staff working in the theatre and it is lovely that the artists performing meet and greet the audience after the performance.”
Calvin Boone, another top supporter, said he encouraged everyone to book a show and enjoy a great night out.
“We love live shows and music and it’s great we get these in our town,” Calvin said.
“We love the feeling of being welcome [and] the staff we have gotten to know, they are super and it’s always pleasant – and it’s local!”
