Bundaberg Regional Council has temporarily closed Moneys Creek in Bargara for safety reasons.
Significant erosion on the northern side of the beach has exposed rock along the walkway leading to the shoreline and uncertainty around the depth and stability of the creek.
As a precaution, the area has been taped off to prevent public access while further assessments and safety measures are undertaken.
Council is asking the community to avoid the area until it is declared safe to reopen.
