How to: host an event or showcase your tasty creations at Taste Bundaberg Festival

Eager to share your passion for local flavours, the Taste Bundaberg Festival is the perfect platform to showcase your creations!

This year, there are several ways businesses can be part of the festival this September.

Host an event

From long lunches and workshops to pop ups and paddock to plate experiences, there is plenty of room at the table for businesses wanting to deliver ticketed or free events that align with the festival’s focus on local food, drink and unique experiences.

Taste Trail and Dessert Trail

The Taste Trail and Dessert Trail invite local cafes, restaurants and food businesses to dish up a signature bite, drink or sweet treat during the festival period, encouraging locals and visitors to explore new flavours and hidden gems across the region.

Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you apply to host an event at this exciting celebration of Bundaberg’s finest food and drink.

Before you begin

Take a moment to ensure you have all the necessary information and documents before starting your application:

  1. Read through the application form
    Review the form from start to finish to make sure you have all the required details on hand. This will save you time when filling out the form.
  2. Familiarise yourself with the event holder terms and conditions
    It’s important to understand the rules and guidelines for hosting an event. Be sure to read through the Taste Bundaberg Festival 2026 Event Holder Terms and Conditions.
  3. Local sourcing requirements
    Please note that 75% of the food you serve must be grown, caught, farmed, or created within the Bundaberg Regional Council area. Make sure your offerings meet this requirement.
  4. Required Documents
    Before applying, gather the following digital copies:
    o Public Liability Insurance Certificate (minimum cover of $20 million)
    o Food Licence Certificate
    o Queensland Liquor Licence Certificate (if applicable)

Once all your documentation is in order, you’re ready to move forward.

  1. Visit the Official Application Page
    Go to tastebundabergfestival.com.au to access the online application forms.
  2. Complete the Form
    Fill out the application form with your business details and event concept. You’ll also upload your supporting documents at this stage.
  3. Submit Your Application
    After completing the form and attaching your documents, submit your application for review by the Taste Bundaberg Festival team.
