Since taking ownership in 2022, Marcus and Jenna McCormick have become the third local family to carry on the Battery Barn legacy.
Located at 3 Walla Street in the heart of the CBD, Battery Barn Bundaberg has been serving the region for thirty years, offering a comprehensive range of batteries and battery-operated technology products.
Marcus said the rise of big chain stores and online retailers meant their aim was to provide a high level of customer support and make sure everyone who visited the store had a good experience.
“We love Bundaberg, the local community and all the loyal customers who support our family business,” Marcus said.
“We believe it’s the little things that count and we aim to provide good old-fashioned service with a smile.
“Our whole team goes above and beyond to provide genuine service, top-quality products and unbeatable value.
“From the moment you walk through the door, you’ll be greeted by a friendly team that genuinely cares about assisting you, not just making a sale.”
Marcus said they valued their CBD location and enjoyed being part of a business community striving to achieve great things for Bundaberg.
“The Bundaberg CBD is the heart of our city and community,” he said.
“It is filled with many other small, independent retailers who have been servicing and supporting the region for many years.
“Our location is central and accessible, and we love the fact that we get to be part of the local community with many customers just dropping in simply to say g’day and to have a chat as they are running other errands in the CBD.
“The Bundaberg CBD should always be a place that feels inviting and safe for everyone to be in.
“There are plenty of local businesses with niche and unique Bundaberg goods and inviting spaces.
“By coming in and supporting the local businesses, you are supporting local families, local jobs and growing Bundaberg for the better.”
We’re placing a spotlight on businesses in the Bundaberg CBD and celebrating all there is to love about our city centre as part of the Safe Spaces, Thriving Places campaign.
