The Gin Gin Swimming Pool is undergoing planned surface preparation and repainting ahead of re-opening to the public in the warmer months.
The pool will re-open on schedule in time for the summer season, with all works due for completion prior to the 20 September opening date.
Bundaberg Regional Council has engaged a qualified contractor to carry out the project which will update any fading and deterioration on the existing surface to protect the pool from UV rays, algae and chemical wear.
The updates will not only improve the overall look of the pool and reduce long-term maintenance costs but will also enhance swimmer safety by repairing any surface imperfections.
Opening hours during swim season (September – April)
Monday to Friday: 9 am to 5 pm
Saturday: 10 am to 5 pm
Sunday and public holidays: 11 am to 5pm
Christmas Day and Good Friday: Closed
