
An upgraded playground at one of the region’s popular beachside communities is now open, providing a fresh dose of fun for visitors.
The refreshed space at Banksia Park in Woodgate is designed for everyone and features exciting new equipment, a barbecue area and shady spots to relax.
Bundaberg Regional Council Natural Resources and Environment portfolio spokesperson Cr Gary Kirk said the upgrade was part of Council’s commitment to maintaining the region’s open spaces, ensuring residents and visitors alike had access to areas that promoted health, fitness and general wellbeing.
“The new playground has been designed by local contractor Willplay with inclusivity, safety and fun in mind,” he said.
“From climbing towers and toddler swings to an all-abilities spinner, this revitalised space will become a real community hub for locals and visitors alike.”
Highlights of the upgraded playground include:
- Swings with a toddler seat
- A rocker
- An all-abilities spinner
- A climbing tower with slide
- A fort with slide
