This year’s Agrotrend event has received a welcome boost in funding thanks to Bundaberg Regional Council, with $5,000 granted to support the long-running local agricultural showcase.
Operating since 1978, Agrotrend is renowned for its expansive display of agricultural innovation, machinery, livestock and rural lifestyle products and draws thousands of visitors from across Queensland to Bundaberg each year.
Mayor Helen Blackburn said Council was proud to support Agrotrend organisers, the Bundaberg Field Day Society, who had applied for financial assistance to help deliver the 2025 event.
“Agrotrend is a fantastic showcase of our region’s agricultural strength and diversity,” Mayor Blackburn said.
“It brings many people to our community who spend their money here, stay in our accommodation and support our local businesses while visiting this great event.
“Council is proud to show its support providing $5,000 in financial assistance for AgroTrend 2025 to ensure this iconic local event continues to thrive and grow.”
Event organiser Ainsley Gatley said the funding would directly offset vital event costs, giving the Bundaberg Field Day Society the ability to focus on a successful delivery.
“This support is essential to Agrotrend’s growth and community reach, helping to keep exhibitor participation and access affordable while amplifying the event’s local economic and charitable returns which directly benefit our local community,” she said.
“The agricultural industry is important to our region and hosting events such as Agrotrend allow us to showcase our local businesses and also bring new technology and practices to the region.”

“New to Agrotrend in 2025 will include a Metalcorp local stud cattle show, Bundaberg AgTech Showcase, Old MacDonalds Farm, scouts demonstrations, a mongrel dog competition and the list goes on!
“This year we really want new residents to the area to come along and get a true understanding of what our region offers agriculturally.
“In partnership with BFVG we are doing a fun fact trail highlighting facts about our region and working with the Pick of the Crop program to engage with schools to produce an artwork to be on display at Agrotrend promoting the crop of their choice.”
